Anupam Kher reacts on Boycott culture, says- ‘New trends are coming every day on Twitter’

Aamir Khan’s film ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ is in constant news since its release. The film was released in theaters on August 11 on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Unfortunately, it got into controversy. The film did not do well at the box office and boycotts started on social media. The film became a victim of boycott culture and many celebrities came out in support of Aamir. Now the name of Anupam Kher has also been included in this list. He has given a trend reaction of ‘Boycott Bollywood’ running on social media.

Anupam Kher talks about the boycott trend in a conversation with India Today. Anupam Kher said, “If anyone feels that they should start a trend, they are free to do so. New trends are coming on Twitter every day. If you have said something in the past, it will definitely bother you.”

Viacom18 CEO rubbishes these speculations
Due to the poor business of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ at the box office, the distributors of the film have suffered a big loss. If speculations are to be believed, the producers and distributors of the film clarified the same, where they rubbished reports of some distributors demanding compensation for the film’s disappointing performance.

In an interaction with ETimes, the makers confirmed that the scenario is completely different. Ajit Andhare, who is the CEO of Viacom18, refuted all the rumors about compensation for the loss and said, “There are no external distributors, it is being distributed by V18Studios, and the film has not lost any money. The film is still running in theaters in India and internationally. These are baseless speculations.”
