IPL 2023: IPL 2023 auction will be held on 23 December in Kochi. Before the auction date, all the teams have been asked to submit the list of all released players by Tuesday, 15 November. After the performance of all the players and their personal decisions, all the teams will decide which players to release and which to retain. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have traded Shardul Thakur to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the next season.
India’s fast bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur will represent Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the next season of the Indian Premier League as his former franchise Delhi Capitals has traded him for all-rounder Aman Khan. Aman Khan represents Mumbai in domestic cricket. The 25-year-old made his debut for the Kolkata team in the last season of IPL.
Shardul’s performance in IPL 2023
Shardul was bought by the Delhi team for Rs 10.75 crore. He took 15 wickets in 14 matches in the 2022 season, including a career-best four for 36. He, however, conceded runs at an average of 10 runs per over during this period. With the bat, he scored 120 runs at an average of 10.81 and strike rate of 137.93.
IPL organizers said in a statement, “Shardul Thakur has been traded by Delhi Capitals to Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming Tata IPL 2023. Rising all-rounder Aman Khan has been traded from Kolkata Knight Riders to Delhi Capitals.” In the last auction, Aman Khan was bought by KKR for Rs 20 lakh.
