MI Cape Town on Wednesday announced the signing of England fast bowler Jofra Archer as a wildcard for the inaugural season of the SA20 League, starting January next year. Archer has not played international cricket since March 2021 due to a long-standing elbow problem following which he suffered a stress fracture in his lower back. He played for the England Lions in a match against the main England team in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
