Michy Batshuayi’s goal helped Belgium beat Canada in a thrilling FIFA World Cup 2022 Group F match at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium in Qatar. Belgium won 1–0 against Canada and started the tournament with a win. Belgium escaped an early goal as Thibaut Courtois denied Canada’s Alphonso Davies in the Group F clash.

As soon as the match started, Thibaut Courtois denied Alphonso Davies a goal from the spot and Belgium saved an early goal. It was a tremendous save from the Real Madrid star. Taylor Buchanan’s strike on 10 minutes looked to have given Canada the lead, but Davies’ weak effort was saved by Thibaut Courtois.

Belgium got off to a bad start, but Canada still could not find a goal. Courtois showed his class in the next few minutes, but it was saved by the opposition goalkeeper.
