Bengal Warriors vs Patna Pirates: In the 21st match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2022, Bengal Warriors defeated Patna Pirates by a huge margin of 54-26. This is the third win of this season for Bengal, while Patna has not been able to win a single win after playing four matches. This has become the biggest win achieved by a team this season.
Patna got all out twice in the first half itself
The start of the match was slow, but Bengal had shown signs of dominance from the beginning. Points were coming from both Bengal’s raiding and defence, but Patna was finding it difficult to take points in either of them. Patna’s team was all out in the 13th minute and Bengal took an eight-point lead. In the 18th minute, Srikant Jadhav did a super raid and pushed Patna close to all out for the second time.
In the last raid of the first half, Maninder Singh dismissed the last two defenders of Patna and got them all out for the second time. After giving this all out, Bengal had a lead of 15 points. Bengal captain Maninder Singh had eight raid points to his name. Srikkanth also supported Maninder well by taking six raid points. Patna got only eight raiding points in the first half out of which six were taken by Sachin Tanwar alone.
Sachin fought alone for Patna
In the second half, Sachin continuously struggled alone, but Bengal’s dominance did not diminish. Sachin completed his Super 10 and kept trying to get his team back. In the 10th minute, Srikanth made a five-point super raid to all out Patna for the second time and Bengal were ahead of 39-19. Jadhav had dismissed three defenders of Patna in a single raid.
The last three minutes were left in the match and Patna’s team was all out for the fourth time. After this all out, Bengal’s lead had increased to 28 points. Patna had taken a total of 16 raid points in the match, out of which 12 were taken by Sachin alone.
