India’s top tennis star Sania Mirza on Tuesday morning revealed that the US Open 2022 has been pulled out due to an arm and elbow injury. Sania has revealed this through Instagram Story. Sania wrote, “Hello guys, a quick update. I don’t have some very good news right now. Two weeks ago while playing in Canada I had an elbow injury and had no idea how bad it was, until That I didn’t get the scan done yesterday.
She further wrote, “I will be out for weeks and have pulled out of the US Open. This is not ideal and at the wrong time, which will lead to a change in my retirement plan, but I will keep you informed.”
Sania Mirza and her Croatian partner Mate Pavic had lost in the mixed doubles semi-finals at Wimbledon last month. The 35-year-old six-time Grand Slam doubles champion has been in good form ever since she returned to the court from a maternity break. His consistent performance has also shown his rise in the WTA rankings.
